Discontinuation of Savings Plus

As of the 1st March 2022, the Savings Plus (S2) account has been discontinued until further notice. 

Due to the disparity of share to loan ratio within the credit union (more shares than loans), the Credit Union is at risk of becoming unsustainable and will be operating at a deficit if more savings are encouraged.

New Start for National Fire Savers

Happy New Year to all our Credit Union Members. 

As the global pandemic hit in 2020, National Fire Savers Credit Union had taken the decision to close the office in order to tackle the spread of COVID-19. Although this was set to be a temporary decision, it has been agreed by the Board of Directors that the business will remain remote for the forseeable future.

Our staff have permanently moved to remote working/remote member service delivery. Whilst developments are being made to adapt the business, there may be a delay in answering calls. We request that you contact us via email to ensure your query/request is dealt with and make share withdrawals using the Online Member's Area. We aim to respond within 24 hours. 

We are working to support our members as best as possible and understand the pressure the current climate has on finances. We encourage all our members to register for Online Membership to access their Credit Union account, make share withdrawals, apply for standard loans (within our criteria) and general enquiries.

Over the coming months, there will be changes made to our processes to ensure we adapt our service to provide members with the best level of customer service. National Fire Savers will be keeping our members informed of any changes through the website and CU App.
